ECIJA Barcelona joins Barcelona Health Hub to promote legal innovation in digital health
ECIJA Barcelona joins Barcelona Health Hub, thus joining the main ecosystem of innovation in digital health, with the aim of accompanying its members in their legal and business challenges.
The incorporation takes place in a context marked by the convergence between technological innovation and high regulatory requirements. In the field of digital health, legal advice is key to address complex regulatory frameworks -such as the General Data Protection Regulation, the Medical Devices Regulation or the emerging Artificial Intelligence Regulation of the European Union- without compromising agility or the development of business models.
With this membership, the collaboration with startups, scaleups and corporates in the healthtech sector is strengthened, providing legal solutions adapted to the real needs of the market and contributing to the sustainable development of a sector in constant evolution.

For years, digital evidence has been incorporated into civil and commercial proceedings as a natural extension of documentary evidence. Screenshots, emails, messaging conversations, attachments, recordings, and images have become a standard part of the evidence.

The new Federal Film and Audiovisual Act, published on 22 May 2026, repeals the 1992 legislation in order to comprehensively regulate the production, distribution and screening of content in traditional cinemas and on digital on-demand platforms.

Most companies believe they have a clear understanding of what personal data they process. However, this perception is often limited to their customer database, when in fact the processing of personal data covers much more than that.

The World Cup kicked off on June 11 in Mexico City and, for a little over a month, will be the most-watched event on the planet. Industry estimates point to a cumulative audience of nearly five billion people and more than USD 10 billion in additional global advertising spend. For fans, it is a celebration. For brands, it is the most coveted communications platform in the world.

The CNMC has begun to focus on this new landscape. Not to tell brands 'don't produce brand content', but for a much more specific reason: to ensure that consumers know when they are being shown advertising.
