ECIJA incorporates Iván Azinovic to strengthen its real estate practice

The new partner of the firm, ranked in Band 2 by Chambers for two decades, will lead a team with extensive experience in the real estate and construction sectors.

The arrival of Iván Azinovic as a new partner at ECIJA's Madrid office is part of ECIJA's strategy to consolidate areas directly linked to investment, asset development, and corporate decision-making in key sectors of the economy. Azinovic will lead a team with extensive experience in complex real estate transactions.

With over thirty years of experience, Iván Azinovic is one of the most prominent professionals in the Spanish real estate market. Throughout his career, he has advised on some of the most important transactions in the sector, especially in complex projects related to real estate investment, IPOs, and public acquisition offers for real estate investment companies, urban development, construction, and corporate structuring of real estate assets, for both national and international investors.

With a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Alcalá de Henares and a master's in Private International Law and Banking from Washington College of Law, Iván has led real estate practices in high-profile firms, participating in transactions with a total volume exceeding seven billion euros. His work has been repeatedly recognized by leading international legal directories such as Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

His appointment strengthens a strategic practice for ECIJA in a context marked by the recovery of real estate investment, the transformation of asset usage models—new concepts of offices, flexliving, logistics, data centers, hospitality, and alternative uses—and the increasing regulatory and urban planning complexity, which directly affects the profitability and structuring of projects.

The CEO of ECIJA, Alejandro Touriño, notes:

"The incorporation of Iván Azinovic is a very important step for our real estate practice. His experience, leadership, and deep knowledge of the market strengthen our capacity to advise on high added-value transactions in a key sector for our clients."

For his part, Iván Azinovic states:

"Joining ECIJA represents an exciting opportunity and challenge due to its clear commitment to innovation, growth, and client focus. The firm stands out for its multidisciplinary approach, its strong technological component, and its ability to drive complex real estate projects from start to finish, aspects that align perfectly with my vision of consulting in the sector."

With this incorporation, ECIJA continues to advance its growth strategy, incorporating top-level talent with a strong fit in the sector and a clear focus on complex operations with a significant economic impact.
