The firm improves its results compared to the previous year and celebrates more than three consecutive years of presence in this prestigious ranking, consolidating its leadership in the transactional and financial area of the Spanish market.
In this edition, IFLR1000 highlights ECIJA in the following categories:
- Banking - Tier 5
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) - Tier 5
- Capital Markets: Equity - Notable
- Capital Markets: Debt - Notable
- Project Development - Notable
In addition, three of its partners have been recognised individually for their track record and leadership:
- Miguel Sánchez, Rising Star Partner at Capital Markets

These awards reflect the strength and constant evolution of ECIJA's transactional area, as a result of the integration of new specialised teams and the coordinated work between the Corporate, Finance and Project Development areas, which continue to drive the firm's expansion both in Spain and Latin America.
The recognition of Miguel Sánchez is added to the one obtained recently in the TTR Data ranking, where ECIJA was highlighted as the leading firm in capital markets transactions (equity) in Spain during the first half of 2025, reaffirming the sustained growth and technical excellence of the finance team.
The IFLR1000 annually evaluates leading firms and lawyers in more than 200 jurisdictions, based on evidence of transactions and the opinion of clients and competitors. With this new recognition, ECIJA consolidates its position among the benchmark firms in Capital Markets, Banking, M&A and Project Finance, highlighting its differential approach at the intersection between law, technology and business.
